Hang in there and keep trying to post those pictures. By the serial number, it sounds like you have a 1950 Target, also known as a pre model 26. It should have a 6 1/2 inch tapered barrel and 4 screws in the side plate (one may be under the grip) and another screw in front of the trigger guard. Not many were made and they are a scarce revolver that was designed to shoot jacketed ball ammo. Welcome aboard.
