The grip is abrasive if in contact with the skin of one's body. This is no concern to me as I do not carry mine next to my skin but in a holster on my hip for protection purposes.
I did not buy the M2.0 to conceal. I carry concealed a 9mm Shield for that purpose.
For handling in humid atmosphere, the M2.0 grip is superior to most every other grip. In cold weather, I wear gloves and the grip is easier to hold than other types.
The pistol is what it is. If the pistol exhibits all of the other factors that you want in a defensive weapon, then consider a covering such as a Hogue or Talon.
