There are a whole lot of gun owners/concealed carriers who don't care for the idea of
any sort of national reciprocity, Constitutional right or not.
If you doubt that, just do a simple search for the topic on this forum and other gun forums. When I say "a whole lot of gun owners", I could probably be talking about thousands.
They don't want "The Government" setting the rules and/or requirements gun owners would have to adhere to in order to enjoy national reciprocity.
A lot of gun owners see this as a states' rights issue. Unfortunately, some states can't stop bickering and nitpicking among themselves to get it all squared away, and this latest thing with Pennsylvania and Virginia is a prime example of that.
