That One Guy, thanks much for getting me that measurement. The one the factory put in as a replacement was .241, and just appeared way too high.

I found a front sight on ebay, and have it on the way.

Also as for configuration, I have an early N serial number, and it has target trigger, service hammer, and PC Magnas numbered to the gun. My knowledge of the 58's is pretty limited, so perhaps others can help you with more.

As for repair work, I have always had the best service with S&W itself. They have worked on almost every revolver I have as I send them all in to the factory, once I find a new one. The trigger work I get back has always been excellent, and they'll always find and fix things that I didn't even know where issues, and not even charge me for them.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what happened with this sight replacement that I wrote about, as it was just wrong in more than two ways, but I wouldn't stop sending stuff to them in the future because of this one thing.

Thanks again!
