Default Taller front sight

I would install a taller front sight, it's about a 15min job if you feel up to it. You will need a 1/16 pin punch, 1/16 drill bit and a suitable drill, smooth jaw pliers some loctite and a small hammer. Punch out the pin and use the pliers to grip the sight, wiggle and pull at the same time as the sights are pretty tight even with the pin removed, it will start to move and a little patience will have it out in about a minute or less. Next clean out the sight groove/slot getting rid of any compound that may be there. The new front sight will have to be drilled by you for a pin in order to be fit to your revolver. This is done from both sides of the barrel( left and right) by this I mean that you drill half way through the sight once seated in its slot from one side then the hole is finished from the opposite side to prevent the hold from being ovaled. Then remove the sight carefully so as not to scratch it, and apply loctite to the sight groove/slot and reinstall the sight with the pin and punch..or take the revolver down to your local smith with the sight you want installed and wait till he gets good and ready to help you.
