I would look at a "pancake" style rig that kept the cylinder parallel to the belt, and kept the holster snugged into the body. Lack of barrel length will cause the gun and rig to "wobble" on the belt on a traditional rig like a Threepersons. Also check out an "Avenger" style rig with the rear tab that pulls the weapon into the waist.

Carrying the weapon close to the belt helps with fatigue, a weapon in a drop loop style holster will pull on the hip. You also need a sturdy belt that will support the weight of the gun 37 ozs or thereabouts and the weight of the holster. Should be a great woods bumming gun ! Let us know what you choose. FWIW I carry a Ruger MC GP 100, and I carried a handgun as part of the job for over 33 years. Still carry daily.
