Default S&W 686-6 missing or phantom part ??

Hi. Hoping someone can help me out. Other day I took the side plate off my new 686-6 revolver to get to know it a little better.

I was cycling the trigger with the side plate off when suddenly something tiny went flying ! My guess is it was a spring. It shot out and vanished, never to be seen again. Searched the area for hours trying to find whatever it was, but no luck.

At this point I've done hours of research trying to figure out what that part could be. I've watched every disassembly/reassembly video I can find on the L-frame. I've completely disassembled and reassembled mine several times already and Nothing seems to be missing ! It cycles and works fine both double and single action. Just using snap caps for now.

I'm at wits end at this point. I wasn't able to find a schematic for the 686-6. And based off whatever info I did find, nothing seems to be missing off mine. There were two other people that saw something go flying so I know it's not just in my head.

Any thoughts ?
