The saga of the 125 grain .357 Magnum and its
ability to ruin a revolver reminds me of the
ill-fated .357 Remington Maximum with its
light bullets introduced in Ruger Blackhawks.
The light bullets combined with pressures in
excess of 40,000 pounds immediately started
cutting top straps.
That was a real "ooops" of unintended consequences.
