IMO, yeah and oh yeah! I guess it depends on what part of the country you're in, but I think N-frame MG's tend to sell for more than that. If you like the idea of a 4-inch 44 magnum hand cannon that's a few ounces lighter than the norm, it's a great gun. Not everyone's cup of tea, due to the extra recoil, but highly desirable nonetheless, because it's a little easier to carry and possibly conceal. If it's truly a mountain gun, the barrel will narrow noticeably just ahead of the frame and I believe it should also say Mountain Gun on the barrel. I think you're looking at a 1990 gun, which is when S&W was at the top of its game. If you are in the market for a 44 magnum, don't let it get away.
