They are cult guns...... introduced before their time!!!! In 1990 everyone wanted a hi-cap 9mm...... 15 rounds +. I've carried a 39xx gun every day since 1991.

Had another thread going about..... folks carrying and raving about the Glock 43 .... a single stack 9mm. Carrying with a +2 adapter to get a full grip...... hey IMHO they have nothing over the 3913/14/NL guns. FWIW I prefer a DA/SA gun to a striker fired gun as a civilian who conceal carries......I like the long double action first shot for safety and decision making.

As to parts most are the same as the double stack 69xx guns..... which were common Police guns in the 90s and beyond.

Grab 2 or 3 extra recoil springs and maybe a Wolf spring pack ...... and you should be GTG for decades!!!!!!!

lets just say I've invested about $ 250-300 every other year since 1990 in getting another 39xx or 69xx gun.... Last year I got a anib 6906 and a similar 6904 for an average price of $292.50 both with 2 mags..... so my backups to my backups are good to go also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you "like" the 3913 keep it........ use it ....... carry it.......... if it breaks; then fix it or replace it........you can always go to a Glock down the road............... if you have to.
