I have a “backyard” range. I have 8”, 6” and 4” round plates at 80yds which is as far as I can go. Did have at 100 but moved bench up to be in shade. I find myself shooting at the long distance more and more. Only use the 50ft target for checking loads and sighting in optics. Amazing how accurate even a 4” can be with good optics. No problem ringing the 6” plate with a 4” gun with a good red dot optic and right load. I have a couple of the clamp on style mounts which are surprisingly stable and stay put even with full .357 loads. Next experiment is going to be with my 3” model 66.
