I have a 24-3. Other than the cool factor and being a couple of ounces lighter I could live if I just had one of my 29/629 guns. Or my 69, for that matter. I shoot mostly specials in all of them.

But, Come On Man! It is a 44 special! What's not to love. 24/624= old style bluing or brushed stainless(old style bluing with better resistance to cleaning chemicals or on stainless guns, nicer than the newer bead blasted finish guns, in MHO) forged parts(I have new guns and the MIM parts work fine but they do not have the gravitas that forged parts have!) No extra holes or un needed parts.(read lock) They were built by people who were trained to build quality and not just parts assemblers (not to disparage the current employees, but it was a different world then.)

OH, and did I mention, ITS A 44 SPECIAL! Possibly the best and most accurate cartridge in its class!

You may have guessed that I have a passion for 44 specials as do many older shooters and many on this board!
