I’ve shot as little as 50 with binding issues and as many as 300 rounds without . It depends on what you shoot , I had problems with some low end Titegroup and 158gr SWC Speer reloads the first time I shot my 4.25” 66-8. I now know what handloads it likes and no more binding of cylinder. I take cylinder assembly apart for a good cleaning with Kroil and lube with Rem Dry lube about every 500 or so rounds , no more problems.
I really like the balance and feel of my 66 it’s a great user revolver.
I wish the Model 19 Classic was available at the time I would have bought one instead because I like blued steel and wood stocks. The 19 is probably my next new Smith.
