And the barrel most certainly can be used----to impress your friends and neighbors with your aerial target shooting prowess---just as long as you didn't tell them you were using shot shells------and you'd impress me even if I knew you were using shot shells.

If this barrel has been reamed to a smoothbore, that is considered a sawed off shotgun. IF there is still rifling present, no matter how faint, it is a legal barrel.


BATF-E has deemed a few smoothbore handguns as legal. There was posted a SB .44 Special that had belonged to a congressman on the forum a few years back.
