You can shoot 45 auto rim without the clips or 45 acp with clips.
I shoot mine with hogue rubber Grips . They seem to fit my hand. That's subjective . I noticed those are nice rosewoods..? On that gun? Maybe 50-75 bucks on top of the gun. You may like them but rubber will certainly help reduce recoil.
I shoot 45 1911s and those normal loads snap a bit on a 4". So I load 10% reduced loads on my 45 and it still snaps ,but feels much better.
You have to try yours first and get a feel. I highly doubt you would regret it.
