I gave $900 for my mint 4" blue 27-2 and I feel I lucked into it at that price. I also have a 4" Nickel that I think is unfired after leaving the factory. Gave $1200 for that one. The 3-1/2" is the most desirable barrel length to most people, but the 4" is actually the most uncommon since as Laketime mentioned they were only made at the tail end of 27-2 production.
