I’ve read shooting reports where these old fashioned Silvertips worked just fine out of 2 1/2” and 3” barrels. Plus, they look cool.

Silver Tips... are so underrated for what they were/are. Hell, I'd still carry them if I had a stash of them. They remind me a whole hellofalot of the Winchester Ranger-T's that I sometimes do carry in my CZ "P-01" in 9mm... in how they group and how they I perform I must admit! Another "oldie but STILL goodie"... Remington Golden Sabers in heavy for caliber loads in 9mm, and especially in .45ACP's...
