I carry the Smith and Wesson 340 PD with 135 gr Speer Gold Dot short barrel .357 magnum ammunition. In a Galco horsehide pocket holster. Gun is under 12 ounces, and the whole package, loaded and holstered is just under one pound. This seems to be the lightest, most powerful package that I can come up with, and therefore, it gets carried every day.
But your 442 is pretty close, and I think it will make a great carry package for you.
The top Right hand gun is the 340 PD. I sometimes carry the others as well.
This is the holster I have used for years now, although it seems to have my stainless 640-1 Pro Series in it in this photograph. It will also hold the Colt "D" frames, such as the Detective Special, Cobra, and Agent.
