I have two guns that I felt carried the best, are both incredibly reliable and are of excellent quality.
One is my S&W 642-2 38 special +P and the other was my Kahr K9. I sold the K9 and it was not a easy decision. It felt so perfect in the hand, smoother than lard on ball bearings and carried very well in a DeSantis OWB speed scabbard holster. I sold it because in the end, after owning it and shooting it, even used it in several IDPA matches, I wasn't as accurate as I wanted to be with it. I can draw the 642 out of my pocket or OWB Bianchi Lightnin' 55 holster faster & put more tighter hits on target. 5 shots vs 8 shot magazine? Means nothing if you can't put them all on a paper plate at 20 yards as quickly as possible.
On a side note:
I've been known to occasionally carry my police trade 4" heavy barrel mod 10 in a OWB Desantis thumb break speed scabbard. Good enough for LEO's, good enough for me.
