The first thing I would do is take the whole kit out and put it back in again, making sure to take your time and test the movement of all the pieces as you reinstall them. It sucks because it’s time consuming, but IMO it’s the best place to start with an issue like yours that could be caused by any one of several different things.
If you still have the same problem after reinstalling everything, then call Apex. They’re super helpful with questions about installs.
