I probably wouldn't allow him over $350 in cash or trade on the gun right now. The market is very weak. Plus, there are so many of these guns out there, we are just waiting for a massive dump into the used gun market. I have visited five gun stores/pawn shops this week. All of them had a wall full of AR-15 platform rifles as well as display cases full of the black plastic semi-auto handguns. None of this stuff is selling right now. . .plus it's the Summer market. There hasn't been one vintage Smith or Colt for sale around here most all year. The rare ones I've heard about (and missed) all sold the day they came in. This will pretty well tell you where your money should be. . .and where it shouldn't be. Every shop owner has told me that virtually nothing good has come in off the street this year. That is really something for the state of Georgia where great vintage guns walk in off the street weekly.
