This is a debate we can not solve on line as everyone has different conditions, acceptable risk levels, etc.

That said, some very good comments are here and one needs to find the right balance for him/her between portability, capacity, and shootability.

For me, I carry a M64-2 snubby, an LCR or my G43 in that priority. I prefer the simplicity of a revolver and can accept the risk of lower capacity compared to other guns I own when carrying due to where I live and travel to.

When I go to the big cities around me, I upgun to larger capacity, usually with my M&P 9c.
