There is one thing everyone should do if they're buying a firearm at auction. Check what a new one costs. Sometimes you can't if it's no longer in production but I have seen many times where auctions for used guns (many times without all the accessories that came with) were starting for more than I can buy a new one for from Buds or Grab-a-Gun. I think some of these used gun sellers must be checking the price at the manufacturers website and then deducting a certain percentage or something. Currently Buds is asking $727 for a Ruger model 77/357 but there are at least two sellers on GB asking for starting bids of well over $1000. Go figure.
