I asked a similar question several weeks ago: my choice was 686 and I haven't been disappointed.

I only have 2 pieces of advice:

don't go cheap , don't let $50-$100 bucks sway your decision. if you don't have the funds for what you want , wait until you do.

Don't buy a firearm in a face to face meeting.
Just don't.... Its a poor practice unless you know the other party. I'm all about risk vs reward. In your case the risk is much greater than the reward.
