Beautiful gun, fantastic price. I have a 1961 vintage Westerner that goes Elk hunting every year and Antelope hunting when I draw a tag. Never owned a .338 Win Mag, but I have had a few .340 Weatherby's. My current .340 is a Mountain Eagle I bought in 1995. It shoots as good as the .264. On other words sub MOA with My handloads. You will love the accuracy of that great gun. The only reason I don't have a pre 64 .338 is I have never found one I can afford.
