While you can always run into a trooper who awakened that morning on the wrong side of the bed, it all depends and how the local municipality came to know of your concealed handgun. Did you save a police officer or citizen from certain death or were you caught stone drunk, urinating in public with more than one gun showing?

I just moved from NY to NC and transported all eleven of my handguns through the People's Republic of NJ and MD. I stayed with the traffic and I did not call attention to myself. Police officers don't want to bust fellow officers, active or retired. So, don't put yourself in a situation where a local officer has no choice but to slap cuffs on you.
