We can help if you give us more information.

We really need the serial number off the bottom of grip frame. Any letters that proceed the numbers are important. Often times people assume numbers stamped in yoke cut or other locations are serial number and there is a real possibility they are assembly numbers and NOT serial number.

How many chambers does the gun have. 5 or 6. The smaller I and J framed guns have 5 in 38 calibers and the others models 6.

Just what does it say on the barrel in the way of caliber. A 38 S&W is different than a 38 special.
