You can easily remove the mag safety.
that block #3000165 came from s&w directly and the one you listed has a mag safety

This is what Brownells told me:
Smith & Wesson has a bad habit of telling folks to contact us for that part even though they refuse to sell it to us. We have tried to purchase it from them but they say that is a factory only part.
