I have quite a few Rugers and the only one that had to go back was the most exspensive...a new Ruger Alaskan .454/.45 Colt.
It had a .012 gap and the cylinder timing was off...came back like a Cadillac!
I liked the size of the Model 69 and wanted a .44 with a 4 inch barrel..my others being a Ruger SBH 7.5 barrel and a very nice S&W 629-2E with 3 inch barrel.
Maybe something simple with the 69's action as the single and DA trigger was very good when dry fired. It's the really messed up cylinder gap I don't understand on a new S&W revolver. If they test fire before shipping that should have been caught!

Will call them in the morning for a Return label.
