I have shot close to 14000 rounds thru my autos with out a failure .. I do change springs when needed and all other maintenance ,, And use good ammo ..
If my right hand become disabled I practice shooting off hand and do that at about 75 to 85 percent of my right hand ability.. about the same as most people who practice off hand shooting
The old "Two is one and one is none " saying was years ago when revolvers were in vogue and autos were having many troubles .. speed loaders did they even exist them ?? At that time 30 years or so ago I could well see all your arguments but in todays world where perps are carrying Glocks with 30 round mags .. who run in pack of 4 or more the revolver in my opinion as a self defense weapon is low on the list of what I would choose to carry ..

if one runs into 4 guys carrying 30 round glocks, a puny little 13 round pistol is not going to do the job. this will give you a possibility of surviving. might be a little hard to conceal in Phoenix in summertime.
