Meh, if you want a pistol caliber long gun then there are already plenty of other options with a long history of reliability.
Get yourself a good Lever Action Rifle in .357 Magnum and don't look back. There's a reason why there aren't Pump Action pistol caliber carbines, and it's the fact that nobody has ever been able to get one to work reliably. Colt tried in 1884 with the Colt Lightning Carbine, which failed miserably, then Rossi tried to improve on the Colt Lightning over a century later with the Rossi Thunderbolt, which was also a failure.
There's a reason why the old Lever Action Rifles from over a century ago are still in production, and it's because they just plain work.
