Looking at the pictures you posted when it arrived, I'd say you did alright. You didn't steal it, but you didn't get robbed either. As others have said, if you only have one revolver, that's a very good one to have. You will be able to shoot it it with 38 wadcutters just about forever without wearing it out, yet if you want to "get serious" it will handle 357 Mag ammo well too. I'm sure you have been made aware of the dangers of using light weight bullets at high velocities... I prefer to stick with 158 gr SWCs at moderate 357 Mag velocities.
