I only buy new S&W revolvers that I find in a LGS and I can inspect them in person. I bring feeler gauges.

Most new revolvers don’t meet my standards. I currently own a 686p and a 649, both of which took years of checking the LGS and rejecting a lot of new models before finding these two good ones.
