I know of at least one major corporation that has a strict no firearm policy, but has a trained and designated employee who is armed (concealed) with a Sig 229 in .40S&W with two spare mags. Only a few top executives know about this employee.

The management is trying to limit liability, but recognizes there is a need for protection should a nut penetrate the perimeter security.
