Other than tough guy talk and feelings about what the bad guy may deserve, remember, the goal should always be simply to "stop the threat" rather than to "kill". The less shots required, the better; however, continue to fire until the threat has been stopped. I would rather have a one shot stop, if possible, than a more than one shot kill.
