I think Ranch Products is the default for moon clips. (One guy's opinion, YMMV.) I shoot ball most in 45ACP revolvers, but the great thing is that the defensive loads proven for LE (use Dr. Roberts' list) will all work fine. My choice is mostly the 230 grain Gold Dot of which I bought a lot when my old agency issued it, but I also have some of the 185 grain all copper +P from Black Hills. I have a few rounds of Georgia Arm 45AR with the Gold Dot, and it makes a tiny group that makes me look good.
