When you pull the trigger, the hand pushes the cylinder forward as well as rotating it. If there is enough endshake, (doesn't take much), the front of the cylinder will rub on the back of the barrel. This can cause anything from a harder trigger pull to total lockup. If shooting lead bullets, the lead can build up in a small b/c gap (caused by endshake) and tie up the gun too.
