I like and have always liked full wadcutters, but most of the stuff for sale is pretty slow. Buffalo Bore mades a hard cast full wadcutter that is loaded to produce between 8 and 9 hundred fps from a 1 7/8" barreled J Frame. That's enough! But it is standard pressure ammo, not +P.

I carry this ammo in the cylinder of my carry revolver. I carry the Speer Gold Dot 135 grain ammo loaded for short barrels for reloads. The wadcutters are slower to reload since they are fat on the ends that enter the cylinder chambers. The Speer loads are well respected and have a good track record and they are easier and quicker to reload without fumbling them. This arrangement is just what I do. Every one must decide for themselves!
