Product code for your 2 1/2" 586-5 should be 103497. These were the first batch of .38 Spl 586's for Brazil from 1993. There was a second run of Brazil export guns (used the same product codes - 6"=103499 / 4 1/4"=103498) from 1997 with a serial prefix of CCE. Strangely enough these were designated 586-4's.

I've expressed my opinion before as to value and I'll restate that I believe that these are only of interest to collectors if complete - gun/box/docs. Shooters want the dual cartridge capability of the regular 586/686 line. I bought mine as a shooter - at a shooter price - and use it for IDPA. Your 2 1/2" gun may garner more interest as these tend to be rarer than the other two barrel lengths.
