The El Paso County Sheriff's department (among others nation wde) issue 5.11s as a Plain Clothes uniform. Do you think they might know what they are when they see them?
So you can call it paranoid if you want but there are people out there who recognize 5.11s when they see them and know that they are clothing of choice for quite a few "gun" people.

Made? So what? Are these people that are 'making' other people also getting false alarms, because a lot of unarmed people wear them as well. In fact, I would wager that more unarmed people are wearing tactical pants than are armed people.
So what happens to people that are 'made' as presumably armed? What did you do when you identified someone else as armed?
Have there been a series of shootings where the victim was wearing tactical looking trousers?
I don't understand what the problem is.
