I don't know about bears but a 1/2 cup of #6 shot made a good
Black Bird load. Would aim it where they were feeding with a filter cigarette on fuse for delay. Get away and birds would come
right back. A few minutes later it would go off and you could go
pick up beaks and feet. Smoldering socks we used for shot cups
would be hanging in brush, smoking.
