My first quality revolver was a Ruger Single-6 (1964) the same
year I got a NIB m17 in a trade. I had no interest in it, didn't
like DAs. Probably because my S-6 put all my buddie's H&Rs
IJs and imports to shame. I didn't want to shoot it and make a
used gun out of it for trading purposes. A buddy harassed me into
shooting it and the S-6 went to back of drawer from then on.
It is not mint, but in very nice shape. Blue wear on Muzzel and
edges of cylinder and grips don't shine anymore. Still tight and
accurate as the day I got it. Thousands of rounds and miles of
holster carry. It wouldn't have the blue wear if I had been smart
enough to buy a lined holster back then. The last 50years it has
been in a good holster. I say shoot em if you got em, life's short.
