Some sellers are obviously breaking down new, current production, pistols and selling them as parts. They just make more money that way. The rational is that the total price of a frame + slide + barrel, etc. will net the seller more than if he just sold a complete pistol. Glad they do it actually. If I wanted a major OEM pistol part, I would pay the price for the new part, as opposed to buying a used/surplus/reimported, etc. part that may have seen 500 or 50,000 rounds of use........ymmv
