My 340 back up gun is in the nightstand, along with my 64-2 service revolver, when I'm home. In years past a few other J frames have been stashed in various places around the house in case I need a gun in a hurry. Currently I have SP-101's in place of the J frames, mainly to justify the assortment of used 101's I've bought recently. If I keep accumulating K frame snubs like I've been doing I'll probably have them take the place of the 101's.
