There. Fixed it for ya.
I love my 52-1. I need to start loading for it.
Trouble is, I'm torn between shooting it (really want to) and keeping it as-is.
Ya see, it's the trophy gun awarded to Sgt Bonnie Harmon for winning the 1965 Center Fire Pistol Championship at Camp Perry.
Haven't lettered it yet, but the engraving is correct, it was delivered to the NRA as an award gun, and Mr Jinks has said that I need to letter it because it is an historically significant gun.
I won't tell what I paid for it.
I'd hate for y'all to hate me for it.
I lusted after a 52 from age 10 until age 44.
Then, I bought mine from a friend who bought it about 30-something years ago.
He didn't shoot it because he couldn't get along with the grip.
Not a problem for me. I love the model 39 grip.
I was hoping for a run of the mill 53 that I could shoot the snot out of and not feel guilty.
I ended up getting one that has made me neurotic about shooting it.
