My apologies also to OP for any hi-jack or drift.

One of the things I like about these revolvers is that they came with real walnut grips. These have always been something special to me, and I was probably,y programmed this way as a child, to prefer walnut wood with blued steel. I have since learned to appreciate other woods, and to like ivory as well, but somehow I just never could warm up to rubber, despite its obvious advantages in reducing felt recoil, and increased "grippiness".
I did leave the factory grips on my most carried pocket gun, my 340 PD. So far at least. Eventually I will probably replace them with something more aesthetically appealing. I know that it's a tool, but there is nothing wrong with having attractive tools!
