Keep in mind that while the 460 Roland is a longer case it's max COAL" is the same as the 45acp/45Super (1.275"). In a revolver that would be one thing but in an auto you're COAL" is often limited by the barrel's leade/freebore.

You don't want to deep seat & compress a load, making it dangerous. My Colt Govt. Mk.IV, Series 70 has a short leade & I'm limited to 1.200" max COAL in it, otherwise the bullet's jammed into the rifling. Not good. My S&W 3rd Gens don't have that issue so I load them out to 1.220" in my 45 Supers with 185gr JHPs.

If your max COAL" is limited, in your pistol, the longer 460R length doesn't let you use it's extra capacity.

I've measured S-L 460R case capacity at 29.0gr/water.
S-L 45 Super is 26.8grs &
S-L 45 Auto Rim is 27.4grs.

The Colt 1911 is the gun that lacks full support & bulged a 45 Super work-up load.
