Glock is a good choice. I own Glocks and I own S&W revolvers. Both are effective weapons of self-defense and I have no emotional attachment to either and don't see why I would have different feelings about one or the other since they are tools. I guess the Glocks could be said to have a higher coolness factor due to it's prominence in TV and movies, but that isn't of much concern to me. The only guns I'm sentimental at all about are those my grandfather and father left me.
