Default My Bargain Bodyguard

I just picked up a model 638-3 at the LGS today. It had no box or papers and was cosmetically challenged. I was not looking for another J-frame .38 but I just could not walk away for $199 +tax. I figured how could I go wrong. It is a DCR serial prefix which puts it in 2008 according to SCSW. It appears that something was splashed on it that left little tiny streaks in the clear coat of the alloy frame. The bore and chambers are perfect and lockup is tight. The stocks appear to be the factory original Uncle Mike's boot grips. It shoots great and cleaned up fairly well. I don't think it looks too bad for a $199 J-frame! I'm very happy with it. It's also a great companion to my black finished model 438 no dash. I'm now the proud owner of salt and pepper bodyguards!
