IMHO Magna-porting is sort of a gimmick. While it does reduce felt recoil a little, what it also does is increases the noise level a lot. The cuts are also a royal p.i.t.a. to clean out, more than likely they reduce velocity as they let gases which normally propel the projectile are vented out before the end of the barrel. All in all, I do not care for it at all an would not do it. That's my opinion and YMMV of course.

A secondary reason not to do it is because to me a Magna-ported gun is not worth the same as the same model that is original, so to me the "monetary value" is drastically decreased. Again, that is debatable I suppose.
